If you own a company that provides services or products on a b2b (business to business) level and are not on LinkedIn yet, why not?
LinkedIn has been designed for professionals and businesses to create an online profile to showoff their business and achievements, as well as more importantly networking with other professionals in your industry. As LinkedIn is heavily used by businesses and professionals it makes finding leads really easy, especially if they have their job title on their profile. LinkedIn is the social network for businesses and professionals.
For example, if your business provides marketing and promotion software, services or tools then your ideal professional is a marketing director or executive. Theres no point trying to sell you business to the catering manager or their accountant, as they wont be interested nor will they have a say in whether or not to buy your product or service. You know you need to sell to someone in the marketing department and LinkedIn allows you to search by job title, so you would want to search for marketing directors. Imagine how many new leads you can produce from LinkedIn, I can tell you its a lot! You can even search by a keyword or specific industry.
As of July this year, LinkedIn had grown to just under 400 million users, 396 million to be exact.
Another great way of attracting new customers/businesses is to create an open group based on a topic that’s informative to users, something that your business covers so you can get potential leads.. Groups are a great way of showing users that you’re an authority figure within your niche, its a way to share information/knowledge, build a reputation, get involved in conversations and be the “go to” person for your industry.
Did you know that 48% of millionaires have a personal LinkedIn account.
LinkedIn isn’t just for marketing or networking, it can actually produce some great business or job opportunities. Not only that but by having a business you page you are also working towards your overall brand and reputation. When people Google your business its quite likely that you business page on LinkedIn will appear. If you have managed your business page correctly then someone stumbling across you LinkedIn page will have a positive experience which will help build up trust, reputation and the chances of a sale.
